GET HELP

The Housing Justice Project provides free legal assistance and interpreters to low-income renters (tenants) facing eviction in King County, Washington.

  • We help tenants respond to eviction summons with a Notice of Appearance.
  • Provide representation to low-income tenants facing eviction who have a filed eviction case.
  • Note that we can only provide an attorney if your case is filed with the court.

Due to high volumes, we are unable to guarantee assignment of an attorney to every tenant with an eviction case. We can help tenants respond to an eviction summons with a Notice of Appearance (NOA). We also provide clinic consultations and other limited services to tenants facing eviction. We currently are not taking ejectment cases or guaranteeing assistance for cases where a writ of restitution and judgment have already been granted by the court.
