Newly updated in 2024 for the first time in thirteen years, the King County Probate Policy and procedure manual is a must-have addition for any personal or firm law library!

This manual is a revision of the King County Probate and Guardianship Policy Manual which was last revised in 2011. That manual was a revision of the Probate Policy Manual first published on January 1, 1969, and revised in 1973, 1977, 1984, 1995 and 2003.

Previous versions of this manual were adopted by the King County Superior Court as a helpful guide to practitioners and referred to in King County Local Rule 98.04. This manual is the result of a joint project of the bench and the bar and contains useful tips for practitioners that are not necessarily the official policy of the court. The manual is not intended to be all-inclusive, and attorneys should continue to consult the Probate Code and other applicable statutes.
