Summary

Presentation: “Supporting and Centering Child Trafficking Survivors in Washington State” by Savannah Knight, Braelah McGinnis, and Kelly Mangiaracina

Attendees will learn federal and state laws for child labor and sex trafficking with a detailed discussion on the indicators of both labor and sex trafficking. Presenters will focus on who is impacted and how to provide a trauma informed response while pursuing legal cases. There will be an additional discussion of the ethics of reporting if/when it becomes apparent that the parents of your client are participating in the trafficking. Local services and referral information will also be provided.
