Summary

Presentation: “Guiding Clients from Fear to Focus” by Kathleen Burgler, CDC®, PMDC®, NBC-HWC, E-RYT

Collaborative professionals are helpers by nature — you do this work, at least in part, to help facilitate some measure of relational healing between spouses, instead of just witnessing scorched earth. So how do you keep the process moving when faced with clients who are overwhelmed, shut down, and stuck due to fear and uncertainty? After a brief nervous system overview/review, I'll offer a couple of entry-level tools that help clients regulate their emotions in the moment, and we'll do a short activity that I use with clients for longer term resiliency-building. Please have paper and something to write with handy.
