When is it right to intervene—and who gets to decide? This CLE explores the legal and ethical complexities of family-initiated treatment and Washington’s Involuntary Treatment Act for minors. Through the perspectives of a King County Commissioner, a legal practitioner, and a family with lived experience, participants will examine the tension between parental authority, youth autonomy, and the state’s duty to protect.
