Summary

Presentation: “What Solo & Small Firm Practitioners Should Know About Cybersecurity – 2024 Edition” by Michael Cherry, Attorney and Counselor at Law

In Oct. 2023, Michael Cherry discussed what a solo or small firm should know about Cybersecurity to the King County Bar Association Small Firm Section, and while it would be nice to think things are getting better—recent issues, such as the catastrophic issue that took down thousands of Windows based computers—illustrate that without vigilance, the cure may be just as bad if not worse than the problem. Cherry will use recent events to highlight the exposure of harm from cyber and cybersecurity events and how to be best situated, with actionable ideas, to head off or cope with events before they become critical incidents for your firm.
