Summary

Presentation: “Employee Speech and Religious Expression” by Amy Robinson, Partner, Miller Nash LLP and Heather Van Meter, Partner, Miller Nash LLP

This presentation will cover:

The post #MeToo legal landscape in employment has brought a range of expanded protections for employees who want to discuss, disclose or otherwise address harassment, discrimination and other unlawful working conditions, impacting not only workplace policies and disciplinary practices but also impacting settlement, separation and other employment agreements.  In addition, SCOTUS’ recent wave of employment decisions recognized what it calls “superprotections” around employee religious beliefs and expression – which is further impacting workplace dynamics, as well as DEI initiatives. Come join us to discuss these and other protections and what changes and other best practices employers are adopting to maintain compliance in this ever-changing area.
