Bar Bulletin

Posted on: Jun 1, 2023

On April 20, the King County Bar Association hosted the third in-person Swearing-In Ceremony since the start of the pandemic in 2020. In attendance were 44 attorneys who recently passed the WSBA winter bar exam and friends and families. In total, 125 people gathered in the King County Superior Courthouse to celebrate these new admittees with Presiding Judge Patrick Oishi.

Keynote speaker Pallavi Wahi, K&L Gates Seattle Managing Partner and Co-U.S. Managing Partner, urged the new attorneys to remember that nothing is impossible. Citing her beginnings as an immigrant and determination to become what she is today, Ms. Wahi believes anyone can accomplish anything they set their minds and hearts to.

KCBA President, Tahmina Watson, and New Lawyers Division Chair, Benjamin Byers, provided words of congratulations and encouragement to these new members of the Washington State Bar as they embark on their legal careers.

Congratulations to you all!
