The 2026 New Lawyers Division Spring Soirée was held on Apr. 9 at its new venue, the ArtLove Salon in downtown Seattle. Ninety-two attendees gathered in a vibrant, art-filled setting for an inspiring evening celebrating mentorship and the spirit of giving.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of the 2026 Mentor of the Year Award to Jenica Cassidy of Helsell Fetterman. Cassidy was recognized for her outstanding commitment to mentorship and her meaningful impact on the next generation of legal professionals.

The following nominees were also honored for their exceptional dedication:

Christopher Karr, Seattle City Attorney’s Office

Claudia Lin, Davis Wright Tremaine

Daniel Schilling, Seattle City Attorney’s Office

Dasi Anderman Shahar, King County Prosecutor’s Office

Mitchell Polonsky, Northwest Family Law

Monica Lopez Reinmiller, Panasonic North America

In addition to the evening’s celebrations, the annual NLD Silent Auction raised just over $4,000 in support of the KCBA’s pro bono partner, Northwest Immigrant Rights Project. We extend our sincere gratitude to all who contributed auction items, put together baskets, and made generous donations to support this important work.

A heartfelt thank you to Ian Brown, NLD Social Committee Chair, and Brittney Rivers, NLD Vice Chair, for their leadership and dedication in organizing this successful event. Their efforts ensured a memorable evening for all who attended.
