On April 22, the King County Bar Association hosted a swearing-in ceremony for 39 new attorneys. The King County Superior courtroom was packed with friends and family celebrating the new admittees’ achievement alongside Presiding Judge Ketu Shah.

Keynote speaker Daniel Shih of Susman Godfrey shared thoughtful insights about what the participants can expect as they embark on their new careers.

KCBA President Erin Overbey and New Lawyers Division Chair Amanda Simantov reflected on their own swearing-in experiences and highlighted the value of KCBA membership, encouraging the new attorneys to take advantage of the association’s many programs and networking opportunities.

For more than two decades, KCBA has hosted swearing-in ceremonies for new admittees twice a year, in the spring and fall. We are proud to be part of a major milestone for every new admittee who attends these ceremonies.

Congratulations to our Spring 2025 admittees!
