Bar Scholars Reception 2024: Every Event Should Have a Secret Door!

The 2024 Bar Scholars’ Reception took place behind a hidden door at a secret speakeasy in Rainier Square on November 13th. The venue was fun, the food was fantastic, and the event was a huge success! There was a good turn-out of scholars, UW and SU Law School faculty, and Board Members who enjoyed the remarkable surroundings and uplifting speeches.

King County Bar Foundation has provided funds for minority law student scholarships at the University of Washington and Seattle University Law Schools since 1970. From that point on, the Bar has awarded over $3 million in scholarships! This program is the driving force behind the Bar’s commitment to increasing diversity in the legal profession and encouraging the retention of minority lawyers practicing in our local communities.

Heartfelt appreciation to our King County Bar Foundation President, Emma Gillespie, for hosting this memorable celebration of our Scholars, and to all those involved in organizing the event.
