Spring 2024 Swearing-In Ceremony

On April 25th, the King County Bar Association hosted a swearing-in ceremony with 41 new attorneys participating. The King County Superior courtroom was packed with friends and family celebrating the new admittees’ achievement with Presiding Judge, Ketu Shah.

Keynote speaker, Chief Judge Lori K. Smith from the Court of Appeals enlightened the new admittees with thoughtful insights on what is to be expected as these new lawyers venture into the legal profession.

KCBA President Karen Orehoski and New Lawyers Division Chair Alyssa Nevala provided memories of being sworn-in, and the virtues of KCBA membership, encouraging them to take advantage of the programs and networking the KCBA provides.

For over two decades, KCBA has hosted swearing in ceremonies for new admittees twice a year, in the Spring and Fall. We are proud to be part of a major milestone for every new admittee that has attended these ceremonies over the years.
