LHHC Fundraisers Set for October 10
Lawyers Helping Hungry Children is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting and eradicating childhood hunger in Washington. Organized in 1991, this group of lawyers and other volunteers raises funds throughout the year for distribution to several organizations whose goal is to alleviate childhood hunger.
The King County chapter of LHHC supports the Emergency Feeding Program, the City of Seattle Summer Food Service Program, WithinReach, Children's Alliance, Northwest Harvest, and CARE. There is an active chapter in Pierce County that supports the St. Leo Food Connection's backpack program.
On October 10, both the King County and Pierce County chapters will hold fundraising events to support their beneficiary organizations. The King County Chapter will hold its annual luncheon at noon at the Grand Hyatt in Seattle. The luncheon will be emceed by Ian Lindsay and headlined by keynote speaker Molly Moon Neitzel, founder and CEO of Molly Moon Ice Cream. Entertainment will again be provided by a Seattle School District elementary school choir.
Individual tickets are $90, or $45 for students and attorneys with government and nonprofit organizations. Tables can be reserved for $900. Online registration is available at www.lawyershelpinghungrychildren.org.
The Pierce County Chapter will hold its breakfast fundraiser for emergency food programs in Pierce County. Additional information can be obtained from Todd Carlisle at email@example.com.
