As I write this, the temperature is in the upper 80s, so I thought I would share with you my favorite downtown spot to cool off if you promise not to tell anyone. It is the far end of Pier 56, out past the restaurant. There are plenty of (normally empty) picnic tables and a nice breeze off the water. It is a great spot for boat watching on Elliott Bay, too.

Partners, Directors and Shareholders

Edward Coulson has joined Schweet Linde & Coulson, PLLC, which has also changed its name to reflect his addition. Coulson has extensive litigation experience and spent 25 years as a partner at Foster Pepper PLLC, where he chaired the firm's Construction Practice Group.

Principals Dan Gottlieb and Irene Fisher have joined Hillis Clark Martin & Peterson P.S., as did the rest of the Gottlieb Fisher firm. Gottlieb has extensive bond counsel experience and underwriter's counsel experience. Fisher has served as underwriter's counsel, borrower's counsel, credit enhancer's counsel and bond counsel, and has significant experience in federal and state securities law, among other things.

Mike Moyer has become a partner in Cairncross & Hempelmann. Moyer's practice focuses on supporting emerging technology companies. He was formerly a partner with Dorsey & Whitney, where he chaired the firm's Cleantech Industry Group.

Pam Kohli Jacobson has joined Betts Patterson & Mines, P.S. where she chairs its Intellectual Property Practice Group. Jacobson is a registered patent attorney and was formerly a partner at Christensen O'Connor Johnson & Kindness.

Matt Lynch has become a shareholder with Sebris Busto James. Lynch, who was formerly with Washington Employers, has spent more than two decades representing employers in labor matters.

Jason Vacha has become a shareholder with Reed McClure. Vacha has experience representing insurance carriers in complex insurance coverage, underinsured motorists, and alleged bad faith matters. He also has experience representing corporations, companies and individuals on a variety of matters.
