It’s strange to think that by the time you read this, we may finally know who the next president of the United States will be. No matter how the election comes out, it’s going to be an interesting four years and there will probably be a lot going on to keep us lawyers busy.

Partner Pronouncements

Pam Kohli Jacobson and Mary Atkinson have joined K&L Gates LLPas partners. They were formerly with Betts, Patterson & Mines, P.S. Jacobson litigates patent, trademark and other intellectual property disputes, and manages patent and trademark portfolios. Atkinson assists and counsels clients on obtaining, protecting and leveraging intellectual property.

Associate Additions

While we’re on the topic of K&L Gates LLP, Ryan Edmondson, who was also formerly with Betts, Patterson and Mines, P.S., has also joined the firm, where he is an associate and member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Group.

Geoffrey Palachuk has joined Jameson Babbitt Stites & Lombard, PLLC as an associate in the firm’s Real Estate Litigation and Construction Law Practice Group. He was previously with Paine Hamblen LLP in Spokane.

Sarah Wightman has joined Marten Law, PLLC as an associate. Her practice focuses on environmental, natural resources, and land use litigation and compliance, as well as product and environmental counseling.

Morgan Edrington has joined Mills Meyers Swartling P.S. as an associate. Her practice areas include aviation law, products liability, municipal liability, and trust and estate disputes.

Athan Papailiouhas joined Pacifica Law Group as an associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. He previously served as a judicial law clerk to Justice Debra Stephens of the Washington Supreme Court.

Laura Hansen has joined the Litigation Practice Group at Riddell Williams P.S. as an associate. Before joining the firm, Hansen was a law clerk to Judge Benjamin Settle of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.

Also joining Riddell Williams Marshall Morales, who was formerly an assistant attorney general for Washington. Morales has joined the firm’s Environmental Practice Group where he focuses on environmental litigation and regulatory compliance.

Oliver Enquist has joined RSM, LLP as an associate where he will be working in the Tax Group. RSM, LLP is a provider of audit, tax and consulting services.

Of Counsel and Other Attorney Additions

Vi Duong has joined Stacey Romberg, Attorney at Law as of counsel. Duong focuses on estate planning, probate and business law. She previously practiced as a contract corporate attorney for several technology companies.

Tom Francis has joined Cairncross & Hempelmann’s Corporate Finance & Business Transactions Group. He represents private companies and investors in complex business transactions. He also has broad experience with the purchase, sale and regulatory compliance of yachts.

Rachel Greenlee has joined the Litigation Practice Group of Lane Powell PC. Her practice includes real estate and complex litigation.

Alex Baehr has joined the Summit Law Group. His practice emphasizes complex disputes in a variety of areas, along with internal investigations and risk management. Baehr was formerly general counsel of Colliers International Group.
