LHHC Luncheon Set for Nov. 14
The King County Chapter of Lawyers Helping Hungry Children, a nonprofit dedicated to ending childhood hunger in Washington, will hold its annual fundraiser on November 14 at the Grand Hyatt in Seattle.
The luncheon will be emceed by Ian Lindsay and headlined by keynote speaker John Howie, Bellevue restaurateur and owner of John Howie Steak, Seastar and Sport Restaurant. Entertainment will again be provided by the Hawthorne Elementary School Choir.
The luncheon will celebrate Lawyers Helping Hungry Children's 22nd year raising money and advocating on behalf of hungry children. The money raised by LHHC goes to beneficiary organizations that provide food to children of low-income families and to advocacy for childhood hunger issues. Beneficiary organizations include the City of Seattle Summer Food Program, Northwest Harvest, Emergency Feeding Program, WithinReach, CARE and Children's Alliance.
LHHC's Pierce County Chapter will hold a breakfast fundraiser on November 14 as well, benefiting emergency food programs in Pierce County.
