Besides watching sodden leaves fall from the trees, October is a good month for those of you who have annual goals and CLE reporting requirements to take a close look at your calendar for the rest of the year. Otherwise, you might find yourself working every weekend of football season or trying to find a way to take time off over the holidays when there is no one in the office to cover for you.
New Partners and Shareholders
Sherman Helenese has joined Karr Tuttle Campbell as a shareholder. Helenese's practice focuses on software licensing, cloud transactions and a wide range of transactional matters in the technology sector. Before coming to KTC, Helenese was with the Seattle office of Lewis Brisbois.
Lance Reich has joined Miller Nash as a partner. Reich's practice focuses on intellectual property including patent preparation and prosecution, patent appeals and litigation. Reich was previously with Lee & Hayes, PLLC.
Faye Ricci has joined Graham & Dunn as a member of the financial services team. Ricci focuses her practice on financial services and has represented a variety of corporate clients, including banks, mortgage servicers, broker-dealers, residential and commercial mortgage originators, and other financial institutions.
Pacifica Law Group has added five new associates to its Seattle office: Tania Culbertson, Josephine Ennis, Dana Rognier, Sarah Washburn and Andrew Zellers. Culbertson practices trial and appellate litigation on behalf of public, private and nonprofit clients. She was previously a litigation associate with Susman Godfrey LLP. Ennis has joined Pacifica's Public Finance and Municipal Law Group. She was previously a Legal Honor's attorney for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Rognier, who has joined the Real Estate and Public-Private Partnerships Group, concentrates on real property transactions with a focus in complex commercial leasing. She was previously with Miller Nash LLP. Washburn, who is in the Construction and Procurement Group, divides her practice between transactional work and dispute resolution. She previously interned for Heart of America Northwest. Zellers, who works in the Real Estate and Public-Private Partnerships Group, handles real property transactions, especially complex retail, office, and industrial leasing for public and private entities. Zellers previously served as a law clerk to Washington Supreme Court Justice Susan Owens.
Debra Akhbari recently joined Helsell Fetterman as an associate. Her practice focuses on commercial disputes and class actions, personal injury and products liability. She was the program manager for the Washington State University Extension Community and Economic Development Unit while attending law school.

Daniel Findley has joined Mills Meyers as of counsel. His practice focuses on business organizations, commercial transactions, estate planning and probate, intellectual property, real estate and taxation.
