I am going to miss summer. I know all the heat is not good for the environment, but I really enjoy the warm weather. As I write this in mid-August, the sun has not come up yet when I arrive at work and soon enough it will be dark when I go home. Fall is nice too, but nothing beats reclining on the couch in the sun next to an open window with a good book and an icy beverage.

Partner and Shareholder Pronouncements

Lucinda Luke recently was named shareholder at Carney Badley Spellman. Her practice focuses on labor and employment counseling, litigation, and municipal and corporate law.

Chuck Rullman has joined Lane Powell PC as a shareholder in the firm's Labor and Employment Practice Group. Rullman has a litigation and dispute resolution practice. He also has extensive experience litigating labor and employment matters, commercial disputes, intellectual property issues, and claims arising from probate and non-probate proceedings. Rullman was previously with Foster Pepper PLLC.

Steven Fortney has joined the litigation practice at Summit Law Group, PLLC, where he concentrates on intellectual property matters.

Brad Duncan and Josh Rataezyk have joined Hillis Clark Martin & Peterson PS as principals. Duncan advises lenders and other business clients in insolvency, creditor's rights and other litigation matters. He was previously with Davis Wright Tremaine LLP. Rataezyk advises businesses in all aspects of commercial litigation with an emphasis in bankruptcy and collection. He also was previously with Davis Wright.

Associate Additions

Clifton Stratton has joined Ryan Swanson & Cleveland, PLLC as an associate in the firm's Real Estate, Development & Finance Group. Stratton focuses his practice on business and real estate transactions. He previously worked at a real property management company.

Bree Black Horse has joined the Seattle office of Boardman Galanda as an associate. She recently completed her clerkship for Judge Brian M. Morris in the U.S. District Court for Montana.

Justin Coe has joined Seed IP Law Group's electrical engineering and computer science group. He handles U.S. and foreign patent prosecution of electrical engineering, electronics and computer software matters.
