Washington Appleseed Breakfast Set for Oct. 14
Washington Appleseed brings together the best legal minds to address important social justice issues in our state, and on Wednesday, October 14, Appleseed will unite professionals from law firms, local companies and community partners to celebrate the strides we are making together.
From 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the Seattle Hilton, Breakfast with the Best 2015 will showcase the pro bono work of Washington Appleseed throughout the year, celebrate the impact of that work, and look forward to important strides in the coming year.
The event's keynote speaker will be Michele Storms, assistant dean of public service law and executive director of the Gates Public Service Law Program at the University of Washington. Storms has a career rooted in advocacy and public service, beginning as a staff attorney at Evergreen Legal Services with a focus on family law, custody and domestic violence. She also served as a statewide advocacy coordinator at both the Northwest Justice Project and Columbia Legal Services where she coordinated civil legal aid advocacy in the areas of family law, youth and education, housing, elder law, Native American, and right-to-counsel issues.
Join your fellow guests from many sectors of social justice efforts to hear about the impact of Appleseed's work, learn how you can help make a difference, and celebrate the work of all the organization's pro bono and community partners on an array of important social justice issues.
Reserve your seat with the leaders of the legal community today at http://breakfastwiththebest15.eventbrite.com, or RSVP by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Guests will be asked to make a suggested contribution of $150. Reservations must be received by Friday, October 2.
