September 2012 Bar Bulletin

Bar Talk

By Karen Sutherland

Ah, September - it always brings back memories of returning to school despite the fact that the only classroom I have set foot in as a student during the last 28 years is the band room at Shore-line Community College. Even that lengthy, post-graduate experience is fading away since my interests turned from music to glassblowing several years ago and there are not enough spare-time hours in the week for both.

In any event, whether it's music or art or something else entirely, I strongly recommend taking a few minutes in September to consider, as a labor of love, taking a few classes to learn more about something that interests you.

Promotions to Partnership

Maybe it's the sun. Maybe it's the economy. Maybe my spam catcher ate your press release. Whatever it is, no one got promoted to partner, elected shareholder or became a member of a firm in King County that I am aware of prior to the deadline for this column.

Associate Additions

Christopher Swaby has joined the Meryhew Law Group, PLLC as an associate. His practice will focus on trying serious felony matters in state and federal courts, and involving allegations of sexual misconduct.
