I started to write an introductory paragraph that talked about new laws that go into effect this summer and then I remembered that you can read about the law anywhere, and the law probably is not the reason you read Bar Talk. So, I'll skip trying to sound profound and move on to the usual columnar material that caused you to turn to this page in the first place.
Doug Weinmaster has officially become a partner at Perey Law Group. His practice focuses exclusively on personal injury trial work representing plaintiffs, and he has worked with Ron Perey for about 12 years.
Merryn DeBenedetti has joined Carson & Noel PLLC as a partner and Todd Wyatt has been promoted to equity partner. DeBenedetti will continue to represent entities and individuals in litigation matters, particularly in the areas of environmental, employment and general complex litigation. Wyatt will continue to represent entities and individuals in banking, employment, and other business and commercial disputes.

Samuel Webb has joined Seed Intellectual Property Law Group PLLC as a partner. Webb has expertise in U.S. and international patent matters pertaining to life science, chemical and medical device technologies. Webb was a partner at Stoel Rives LLP before joining Seed IP.

Creditor Practice Group of my absolute favorite law firm, Ogden Murphy Wallace, PLLC as a member. Malaier is an experienced debtor/creditor attorney who was previously with Nagler & Malaier for nine years.
Matthew Liebenson and Alex Winney have joined the Seattle office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati P.C. as associates. Liebenson is with the firm's Technology Transactions Practice Group. Winney has joined the firm's Corporate Practice, and Corporate Law & Governance practice groups.
