KCBA Receives Human Services Award
KCBA's Pro Bono Services was awarded the 2014 Stewardship Award at the Seattle Human Services Coalition's Annual Human Services Awards event on June 5. Each year the coalition presents this award to recognize "a devotion to improving our community through the dedication of time and resources, while also increasing public awareness on critical issues that affect our residents."
KCBA President Anne Daly accepted the award from King County Councilmember Rob Dembowski on behalf of Pro Bono Services. Daly thanked the coalition and noted that it is especially heartening to receive a human services award for the pro bono work done through our KCBA programs.
We know that people in need rarely have only a legal problem or only a social services problem. The collaborations we build with social service providers are an important component of assisting low-income persons in resolving their civil legal problems. KCBA's Pro Bono Services is honored to receive the 2014 Stewardship Award.
