Itried to come up with a way to weave the Bar Bulletin's "Games" theme for this month into Bar Talk, but my imagination must be running short and I am getting too close for comfort to my deadline, so I guess I should just move on to the meatier parts of this column.

Partner Pronouncements

Han Gim has been promoted to partner at BakerHostetler. His practice focuses on patent law, including electrical, mechanical and computer science prosecution.

Amy Magnano and Jennifer Gannon Crisera have been elected shareholders at Bennett Bigelow & Leedom, P.S. Magnano represents health care providers and facilities in medical liability litigation, complex health care litigation, licensing and disciplinary litigation and related appeals. Crisera's practice focuses on commercial litigation, medical malpractice and product liability defense.

Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt recently named three new shareholders in the Seattle office: Jamila Johnson, Allison Krashan and Virginia Nicholson. Johnson focuses her practice on government litigation, public policy and government affairs. Krashan orients her practice around complex litigation matters, including personal injury defense, products litigation and professional negligence. Nicholson's practice includes litigation, land use and health law regulation.

Elizabeth Deckman has joined Dorsey & Whitney LLP as a partner in the Benefits & Compensation Group. She advises companies regarding employee benefits and ERISA. She also works with deferred compensation plans and Internal Revenue Code Section 409A.

Joseph Wallin has become a principal at Carney Badley Spellman PS, where he works with emerging, high-growth and startup companies. Wallin was previously with Davis Wright Tremaine LLP.

Mary Re Knack has become a member of my absolute favorite law firm, Ogden Murphy Wallace, PLLC. Knack handles commercial litigation, health care, insurance and product liability matters. She was formerly a member of Williams Kastner.

Associate Additions

Elon Slutsky and Andrew Brown have joined the Seattle office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati as associates. Slutsky is in the firm's Litigation Group where he works on securities and commercial litigation. Brown is in the firm's Patents & Innovations Group where he handles proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office under the America Invents Act.
