I have reached that point in adulthood where all the things I bought when I got my own place are breaking down. First it was the couch, sagging in the middle after a mere three decades. Then it was the appliances, which are the same vintage. More recently, it's the car, which at the age of 23 is a spring chicken compared to the other things I own. As I struggle to keep them functioning, I just hope no one uses the phrase "end of its useful life" to refer to replacing me some day the way the repair folks talk about my aging possessions.

New Shareholders and Partners

David Schoeggl and Stephania Camp Denton have rejoined Lane Powell as shareholders in the firm's Litigation Group, and Eileen McKillop has joined the firm's Construction Practice Group as a shareholder. Schoeggl and Denton were previously with Mills Meyers Swartling. McKillop was a partner at Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker. Schoeggl's experience includes complex, high-stakes trials and arbitrations for insurers, the aviation industry, product manufacturers and local businesses. He started his career at Lane Powell and worked there until 1999. Denton focuses her practice on insurance coverage issues, class action litigation and healthcare disputes. McKillop has a practice defending complex, multi-party litigation matters, including construction, toxic tort and general litigation.

Bruce Black and John Branch have joined Lowe Graham Jones as members. Black practices in the areas of domestic and international patent procurement, client counseling, licensing and due diligence. Branch works on matters involving software, electronics and computer-related technologies.

Averil Rothrock has become a shareholder of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, where she has an appellate practice.

Thomas Hart III has become a partner in the firm now known as Bergman Draper Ladenburg Hart. He has more than 30 years of experience representing injured persons suffering from asbestos-related disease.

Rick Leitner has joined Cairncross & Hempelmann's Technology & Intellectual Property Transactions Practice Group. His practice focuses on providing strategic and legal business advice across a broad spectrum of companies, including software, Internet, e-commerce, consulting, hardware and technology companies.

Associate Additions

Eric Shelton has joined Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP as an associate. His practice focuses on personal injury and general liability.

Eric Lindberg has become an associate with Seed Intellectual Property Law Group PLLC. Lindberg handles biotechnology, chemistry, pharmaceutical and computer-related matters.
