This year's recipient of the Outstanding Lawyer Award is Geoffrey G. Revelle.
Revelle comes from a family dedicated to service to the profession and the community. The son of distinguished lawyer and judge George Revelle, and the brother of another distinguished lawyer, former King County Executive Randy Revelle, Revelle began his career as a King County deputy prosecuting attorney. He later co-founded and spent 15 years at Revelle & Hawkins, which under his leadership became a prominent eastside firm.
From 1992 to 1995, Revelle took a bit of a sabbatical from the practice of law, accepting a position as chief operating officer at Attachmate Corporation, where he helped guide the company through a period of extraordinary growth.
Revelle returned to private practice with Stoel Rives in 1995, where he assists companies on a broad range of issues, including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financing, general corporate work, licensing and distribution arrangements, senior executive employment arrangements and business disputes.
