"Best Breakfast With Champions Ever" Raises $300,000 for Access to Justice and Diversity
By Scott Pinkston
New York Times best-selling author and youth advocate Wes Moore brought a packed house to its feet at the close of this year's King County Bar Foundation Breakfast With Champions at the Sheraton Hotel in Seattle.
Marking the 15th year of KCBF's biggest fundraising event, the March 26 Breakfast raised $300,000 through sponsorships and private gifts in support of pro bono civil legal aid and diversity programs, while spotlighting the ever-increasing need for legal access and volunteer assistance.
The King County Bar Foundation would like to thank the sponsors, table captains, guests, trustees, staff and volunteers for making the 2015 Breakfast With Champions a tremendous success.
Special acknowledgements go to the members of the Breakfast planning committee who volunteered their time and energy to organize this event: Eric P. Gillett (chair), Todd R. Bowers, Hon. Charles S. Burdell, Jr. (Ret.), Jeffrey G. Frank, R. Gregory Kipper, Theodore O. Prosise, Hon. John R. Ruhl and Scott A. Smith.
