I wore my winter coat, hat and rain boots to work today, which I find sort of depressing since it's supposed to be spring. I understand that April showers bring May flowers, but after all the rain in March the flowers in my neighborhood have been under water. It will be interesting to see what kind of weather summer brings. I bought new summer clothes, but at this rate they may go out of style before I get some warm, dry weather in which to wear them.

Firm Owners

Mick Fleming has become a member of Ryan Swanson & Cleveland's litigation, real estate, and business groups. He focuses his practice on complex dispute resolution. Fleming was previously with Lane Powell PC.

K&L Gates LLP has promoted Josh Gaul, Ryan Redekopp, Holly Vance and Christopher Wyant to partner in its Seattle office. Gaul practices corporate, mergers and acquisitions, and securities law. Redekopp's practice focuses on employment and labor law. Vance is a corporate and securities partner. Wyant concentrates his practice on complex business, antitrust and creditor/debtor litigation.

Lee Schindler has joined Perkins Coie's Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Practice. Schindler was formerly with WilmerHale in Boston.

Meghan Douris and Angelia Wesch have been elected partner at Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker LLP. Douris's practice emphasizes construction, government contracts and commercial litigation. Prior to joining Oles Morrison, Douris practiced construction law in New York City. Wesch's practice emphasizes business and real estate, insurance and surety, and construction defects.

Emily Studebaker has rejoined Garvey Schubert Barer as an owner. Studebaker practices exclusively in the area of health law where she advises ambulatory surgery centers and physician practices on regulatory compliance and transactional matters.

Associate Additions

Suzanna Shaub has joined Reed McClure as an associate. Her practice focuses on insurance defense litigation.

Kate Lopez Ley has joined Cowan Miller & Lederman as its newest associate. Lopez Ley brings with her several years of experience practicing immigration and naturalization law with a focus on assisting corporate clients with the hiring and retention of foreign-national staff.
