Global warming or no, April is still a fluky month as far as the weather is concerned. I figure any weekend we pick for an outdoor-oriented event has about a 50-50 shot of being somewhat pleasant, which means I never know how much to bundle up for soccer and baseball games or whether we can put some art outdoors to amuse the patrons during an Art Walk gallery event. If it's windy or pouring or both, I am always reminded of how nice it is to have an indoor day job here at my law firm.

Partners and Shareholders

Pacifica Law Group recently added Richard Moore and Marni Wright as partners, establishing a Real Estate Practice Group for the firm. Moore serves as legal counsel to institutional landlords and also represents buyers and sellers in real property transactions. Wright focuses on representing landlords and tenants in lease negotiations and represents borrowers, developers and property owners in managing, acquiring or disposing of commercial and public properties.

Tom Brennan, Krista Bush and Patrick Preston, all former senior associates, are now members of McKay Chadwell, PLLC. Brennan represents individuals and businesses in court on complex litigation matters. Bush represents clients facing white-collar criminal charges. Preston provides representation for white-collar and state criminal defense matters, regulatory and whistleblower investigations, and complex civil litigation.

Graham & Dunn PC is pleased to announce that Rochelle Haller and Diane Meyers have been elected as firm shareholders. Haller focuses her practice on state and tax planning, charitable giving, probate and trust administration, and family-owned business succession planning. Meyers practices business litigation and appellate advocacy.

Darin Jensen, Jamie Polito Johnston and Maya Trujillo Ringe have become principals at Lasher Holzapfel Sperry & Ebberson. Jensen's practice concentrates on business and estate planning. Johnston concentrates on family law litigation and collaborative law. Ringe's family law practice focuses primarily on complex marriage and domestic partnership dissolutions, custody conflicts, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements.

William Cornell recently became a partner in the Seattle office of Lorber, Greenfield & Polito, LLP. Cornell will focus on the firm's practice of construction defect litigation representing developers and general contractors, and including real estate and risk management matters.

Rob McKenna, Washington's former attorney general, has joined Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP as a partner and co-chair of the firm's Public Policy Group.
