February 2017 Bar Bulletin

In Memoriam: Nathaniel H. Wylie

KCBA is sad to announce that Nat Wylie passed away on January 11. He had recently begun serving as a KCBA trustee and was very committed to the work of the bar, especially in the area of membership development and judicial officer evaluations. He previously served as a president of the East King County Bar Association.

Nat was a lifetime resident of Mercer Island, and is survived by former spouse Heidi and son Austin; parents Linda and Peter; and siblings Scott and Renee. A memorial service was held at Mercer Island’s Emmanuel Episcopal Church on January 20 that saw hundreds of mourners, including a large number of judges, a testament to how respected Nat was in the profession.

Nat’s friends and family are raising funds to support his son Austin’s future life endeavors. Money collected will go into a legal trust and then be invested by an advisor at Morgan Stanley for Austin to pay for his education and other things that he may need in the future.
