We just celebrated New Year's Day and I am already supposed to be writing something coherent about February, which is an unfortunate side effect of having a monthly publication schedule. I assume by the time you read this Phil the Groundhog has done his thing, likely dooming us to some extra winter, even though as I write this it's cold, clear and beautiful outside.
New Partners, Shareholders and Members
Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt recently named Christopher Howard as a shareholder. Howard's practice focuses on commercial litigation and the defense of professionals in the medical, legal, financial, hospitality and real estate industries.
Greg Wesner and Claire Loebs Davis have joined Lane Powell PC as shareholders. Wesner, who is part of the firm's IP and Technology Practice Group, was previously a partner with Frommer Lawrence & Haug. Davis practices in the firm's Securities Litigation Practice Group. She was previously with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Her practice includes defending public companies and their directors and officers.
Greg Montgomery recently joined my absolute favorite law firm, Ogden Murphy Wallace, PLLC as a member of the firm's Healthcare Practice Group. His practice includes regulatory compliance, nonprofit tax issues, and providing counsel to hospitals and physicians.
Jason Burnett and Julie Sommer have become members of Reed Longyear Malnati & Ehrens PLLC. Burnett's practice includes business, contracts, debtor/creditor and real estate law and litigation. Sommer's practice emphasizes elder law, estate planning, guardianship law, probate and estate administration, and Social Security disability.
Chris Briggs has become a partner in the Seattle office of Stoel Rives LLP. Briggs focuses on employee benefits, executive compensation and regulatory compliance.
