John M. Davis
(KCBA President 1960-1961)
KCBA is sad to announce the April 17, 2015 passing of past KCBA President John M. Davis, at the age of 101. Mr. Davis served as our board president from 1960-1961.
Born on February 20, 1914 in Seattle John grew up in Spokane and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School. He attended the University of Washington from 1931 until graduation in 1936. He graduated from the University of Washington Law School in 1940 having served on the schoolï¿½s Law Review and served as president of the Law School student body.
He founded the law firm Davis Wright Tremaine which now has over 500 attorneys and nine offices around the United States. His leadership extended to numerous community organizations such as the Mercer Island School Board, Virginia Mason Hospital Association and many more.
