The following are highlights from the KCBA Board of Trustees meeting held on June 19, convened by KCBA President Harry Schneider.
Continuing its discussion from the May meeting, the Board reviewed the proposed 2019-2020 Association budget. The balanced budget calls for proposed revenues of $4.6 million, including $1.2 million from member dues and $2.1 million from grants and contracts supporting the bar’s pro bono programs.
Proposed expenses anticipate spending 52% of the Association’s budget on supporting pro bono programs, including increased staffing funded by the United Way-Mariners-Microsoft “Home Base” tenant eviction prevention program at the courthouses. The Board approved the FY2020...
