Due to an editorial oversight, we failed to continue Mr. Rupp’s “Valedictory” of his longtime firm, the first part of which was published in the April issue.
All the lawyers in the firm over its life of 110 years were good lawyers. I cannot recall one of whom one could not be proud. Of course, as Pitt the Younger said of port wine, “All port is good, Brother. But some is better than other”.
They were reasonably prosperous, too, although I think the only rich one was Mr. Leary. He withdrew from the firm and the...
