I thought it would be interesting to many KCBA members to step into the time machine of your choice (I myself am fond of a flying DeLorean or British police box) and set the dials back 49 years. Our destination: September-October, 1969.
William H. Gates, Sr., was president of the then-named Seattle-King County Bar Association. Other trustees at the time included future senior leaders of the bar and bench such as Paul Cressman, Stephen DeForest, William Dwyer and William Helsell. The bar had 1,800 members out of 2,000 attorneys in the county.
