It can be easy to get sticker shock in Seattle-area restaurants. Prices have been rising and increasingly there are mandatory 20% tips and various fees added on to help cover the local minimum wage.
With this backdrop, it is nice, even “civilized,” to be able to sample some of the finest restaurants in town during the twice-a-year citywide promotion known as Seattle Restaurant Week, held each spring and fall.
