Washington’s first receivership of a licensed marijuana business was initiated in 2016. Since then, many marijuana businesses and their creditors have taken advantage of our state’s robust receivership statute while receivers have worked with the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board to determine how LCB’s regulations govern the operation of receiverships. LCB has now issued proposed rulemaking that includes a new section of WAC 314-55, directly addressing receiverships and receivers.
