This month’s KCBA Bar Bulletin theme is “Conflict Resolution.” Immediately, we thought of how sharing meals has been an integral method of diplomacy and conflict resolution through human history.1 Where conflict resolution requires compromise, it is unsurprising that dining together — an undoubtedly personal and intimate occasion — can bring together two or more parties otherwise previously opposed to one another.
