Every die-hard baseball fan has their opinion on which World Series game was the greatest ever played. And although there is some stiff competition, game seven of the Mariners’ first World Series, played in Seattle on November 4, 2023, will forever be on everyone’s short list, in large part because of a little noticed addition to the team’s roster made on September 15, the last day MLB’s rules permit a club to add a player to its playoff roster.
