Why Jurors Get Distracted by “Irrelevant” Issues

Does the color of my tie matter? Are there too many attorneys at our table in the courtroom? Does it matter that I am not a local attorney? These are the kinds of questions that come up constantly in our discussions with clients, referring to the innumerable peripheral factors attorneys have blamed for confusing or surprising verdicts.
