Homebuyer Love Letters: a Broker’s Perspective

Oregon recently made news by being the first state in the nation to prohibit homebuyer “love letters.” For the unfamiliar, a homebuyer love letter is a communication from a buyer to a seller which accompanies a buyer’s offer. It explains in glowing terms how wonderful the seller’s house is and how much the buyer would enjoy the unique opportunity to purchase the seller’s property.
