The New Lawyers Division’s first Cooking for a Cause was a great success! The evening started with a cocktail making demonstration by Keith Waldbauer, manager of the Doctor’s Office, a new Capital Hill bar that specializes in classic cocktails. First, we indulged in a fun bourbon libation with fresh lemon, lime, and ginger beer…delicious! Then, a lightly shaken vodka martini, with the slightest bit of vermouth and for a twist, we added a leaf of Thai basil…amazing! We had fun asking questions about “shaken and not stirred” and what does “bruised” really mean.
