B. Uniform Foreign-Country Money Judgments Recognition Act
Foreign judgments stemming from a “foreign state” are governed under RCW 6.40A, et. seq. A foreign state is a governmental unit other than the United States, and a foreign judgment under this statute includes a judgment granting or denying recovery of a sum of money, except for a judgment for taxes, fines, and penalties, or a judgment for child support or maintenance. RCW 6.40A.010(1)-(2).
