As we head into the fall, our trial calendars are looking more and more like the pre-COVID days. I’m a little taken aback when a lawyer asks me, “Are you really holding trials?” From June–August, we tried over one hundred bench and jury trials. Yes, 100. That does not include the many hundreds of family law motions, ex parte proceedings, dependency motions, criminal matters, and Involuntary Treatment trials.
