This program will provide practical and applicable insights into a juror's perspective and decision-making process. Topics will include theories and common models of juror decision-making, as well as the impact of opening statements, closing arguments, voir dire, jury instructions, and witness examinations, among others. The insights provided in this presentation are derived from social scientific research and jury research; including focus groups, mock trials, shadow juries, and post-verdict interviews.

Prove your general knowledge prowess at our first ever

YLD Trivia Night!

7:00 - 10:00 p.m. (Quiz begins at 7:30)

Come out and enjoy drinks, appetizers, and some friendly competition. Geeks Who Drink will host the event and prizes will be given for the highest score, lowest score, and best team name. Teams should be made up of 4 - 6 people. If you don't have a full team don't worry. Just register individually and I'll find a team for you!  

The entry fee is $35 a person (includes two drinks and finger food) and teammates do not need to be KCBA members (though hopefully we can convince them we're a fun crowd!). Proceeds will go to help fund KCBA's Pro Bono Neighborhood Legal Clinics.

Registration Deadline is Monday, October 6th.
