KCBA Young Lawyers Division Board of Trustees Seeks Nominations
for the 2013/2014 Membership Year
The King County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division (YLD) Nominating Committee is seeking nominees for four trustee positions and one lay member position to serve on the KCBA YLD Board of Trustees. Trustee nominees must be members in good standing of the KCBA and under the age of 36 as of December 31, 2013, or in their first five years of law practice. Non-attorney lay member nominees must adhere to the same age requirement. Trustees serve a three-year term and lay member trustees serve a two-year term, beginning July 1, 2013.
Candidates may self-nominate and should submit a resume to Christine Dreps, Membership Services Manager at ChrisD@kcba.org, no later than Friday, March 8, 2013. The nominee will be emailed a questionnaire to complete and return within seven days. Each eligible nominee will then be contacted by the Committee to schedule an interview. The Committee is looking for trustees who demonstrate strong leadership and event planning skills, who show commitment to the KCBA and its mission, who are actively involved in the local legal and pro bono community, and who would bring a diverse background, skill set, or life experience to the YLD Board of Trustees.
If you have any questions about the nomination process, please contact the Nominating Committee Chair, Larry Ward, ward.lawrence@dorsey.com or 206-903-8817.
