An article in August’s Bar Bulletin, “Company Focusing on Baby Boomers,” incorrectly identified Peter Jennings as the author of The Greatest Generation. Of course, the author is Tom Brokaw. The error was caused by the editor’s confusion between the two former network news anchors turned authors. Jennings was the author of The Century, along with Todd Brewster. It also was pointed out to the editor that a phrase appearing at the article’s outset, “[T]oday’s baby boomer population is exploding at a rapid pace,” is, at least, syntactically incorrect, unless one considers it a reference to our waistlines or progeny. In fact, our numbers are decreasing, just as our focus seems to be ebbing.
