QLaw: The GLBT Bar Association of Washington has issued an open invitation to its fundraiser and cocktail party on September 21 at the Linda Hodges Gallery in Seattle.
At the Fall Scholarship Party, QLaw will unveil and raise funds for what it calls "one of our most exciting projects to date:" a public interest scholarship for law students that intern for organizations serving the GLBT community or people with HIV/AIDS. "Creating opportunities for law students to pursue public interest work here in Washington is essential to our quest for full equality," said QLaw's Beth Barrett Bloom.
QLaw invites everyone to "join us for a wonderful evening, enjoy great art, and help us ensure our scholarship program gets off to a successful start," Bloom said.
