Law Library

    By Marcus Hochstetler

“Our harvest being gotten in, our governor sent four men on fowling, that so we might after a special manner rejoice together after we had gathered the fruit of our labors.” --Edward Winslow describing the first Thanksgiving celebration in 1621.

As we turn toward the holiday season, one thought frequently comes to mind; “What’s for dinner?” Nothing stirs the appetite like imagining a full helping of steaming mashed potatoes, a juicy turkey breast laden with gravy and topped off with a warm piece of pumpkin pie. It almost makes one hungry just thinking about it.

We are hungry for your thoughts at the King County Law Library. Our service is only as good as the feedback we receive from our many loyal and devoted patrons. Go to the News section of our web site, www.kcll.org, and click on “How Have We Helped You?” to let us know your story.

Reminder: Beverages in covered containers are allowed in the library and food is permitted in the library’s conference rooms.

Holiday Hours: The libraries in Seattle and at the RJC will be closed on Friday, November 11 in observance of Veterans’ Day. For a full listing of November and December holiday hours and closings, visit the library’s web site at www.kcll.org.

Gifts: The library appreciates gifts to the collection from Nathaniel B. Green, Jr.
