Washington State Court Interpreter Certification Advisory Commission
Application Deadline: August 5, 2005
The WSBA Board of Governors will be nominating one member to be appointed by the Supreme Court to serve a three-year term on the Washington State Court Interpreter Certification Advisory Commission commencing September 1, 2005.
The Commission has operated in an advisory and policy-making capacity for six and a half years under Supreme Court Order. The order is being replaced by a Supreme Court rule on September 1, 2005. The new rule redefines the mission and function of the Commission. There will be three standing committees to maintain critical operations of the interpreter program: the Issues Committee, the Disciplinary Committee, and the Judicial and Court Administration Education Committee.
