Harry M. Reichenberg
King County Bar Association’s Community Legal Services Committee recognizes Harry Reichenberg as August 2004’s Volunteer of the Month. Since 1998, Mr. Reichenberg has taken 11 pro bono cases from Community Legal Services, including several contested family law cases involving domestic violence.
In April 2004, Mr. Reichenberg took a very difficult family law pro bono case. He successfully represented a woman in a protection order case against her partner of 30 years. Mr. Reichenberg is also planning to file a meretricious relationship claim on behalf of the client.
“My feeling is that it is a privilege to practice law and every attorney should have some kind of pro bono program--even the sole practitioner,” says Mr. Reichenberg.
In addition to his family law pro bono work, Mr. Reichenberg has taken pro bono cases from Volunteer Legal Services in the areas of wills and estates, and bankruptcy.
Mr. Reichenberg is a sole practitioner in Federal Way. He has been practicing in Washington since 1985. His practice focuses primarily on family law.
Mr. Reichenberg says pro bono work is just “part of his philosophy” of the practice of law.
Congratulations to Mr. Reichenberg for being selected as the August 2004 Volunteer for the Month and many thanks for his continued dedication to serve clients in need who can not afford legal representation.
